It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is now brought to you by Sheila from One Person’s Journey Through A World of Books!

I spent the week working on my series challenge.

I started off the week with Inkspell by Cornelia Funke.  I wasn’t sure what I would think of this book because I thought Inkheart was just okay.  I was extremely surprised how much I liked this one.  I will look forward to book three.

My next book was  The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan.  I’m really enjoying this series so far.  I think this one is my favorite so far.  I really enjoy watching the characters grow.

My last read was The Van Alen Legacy.  I’m not sure what I think of this one.  I found the alternating narratives very distracting.

I’m currently reading Voyager by Diana Gabaldon, but I will put it aside for Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves when it gets here.   I will also read The Red Necklace  by Sally Gardner.  I haven’t decided if I will read anything else, but I may try to finish Voyager instead of my original plan.

  1. I haven’t had a chance to read Inkdeath yet, even though I’ve had it for over a year now! I loved Inkheart and Inkspell though. Looking forward to hearing about Voyager when you finish it!

  2. I really enjoyed Voyager so I hope you get to finish it. I was not a huge fan of Inkheart but I did really like Inkspell. Inkdeath I haven’t read as of yet.

    Have a great reading week!

  3. I love Diana but her books mean you have to set aside some time!

I might try the follow ups to Inkheart–wasn’t all that impressed but if the series gets better…

I am going to read the 2nd book in the Percy Jackson series next week (finishing up some previously started series first)

    Have a great Reading week!

  4. I love the Gabaldon series, but there were one or two that I thought weren’t up to par. Can’t remember if the one you are in the middle of is it or not.

  5. The Titan’s Curse? How many books in is that one? I have read book one and would like to finish the series…. it took me awhile to get into it but now I want to know where they are going 🙂
